Learn History, Meet Local Artisans, and Spot a Dolphin
Nestled between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Daufuskie Island is the southernmost inhabited sea island in South Carolina. Surrounded by the waters of Calibogue Sound, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, it is only accessible by boat, making it a charming retreat from the bustling mainland. But it’s the unspoiled natural beauty, rich history, and artisan culture of the current residents that make the island truly special.
Your coastal adventure begins with check in at Marriott’s Barony Beach Club, followed by a unique dining experience with fellow Owners at Skull Creek Dockside waterfront restaurant. Feast on fresh, locally caught seafood at an authentic Lowcountry boil with sweeping views of Skull Creek and Hilton Head Island as your backdrop. Discover the irresistible appeal of this South Carolina tradition through its interesting preparation, distinct flavor combinations, and social elements.
The next morning you’ll head to the Shelter Cove Marina to board the Ohana and depart for Daufuskie Island. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch on the boat and keep an eye out for playful Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. After arriving on the island, an interpretive naturalist and historian will host you on a golf-cart tour of the island. You’ll visit both the undeveloped side of the island as well as key historical sites and meet the local craftsmen who currently reside and work there. You’ll learn about the island’s earliest Native American inhabitants and their legacy, understand the impact of European colonization and the development of the island, and experience the rich traditions of the Gullah people.
Day 3 is all about relaxing and reliving the previous day’s excitement. You’ll be revived during a waterfront brunch at Benny’s Coastal Kitchen. Indulge in a select menu of choices that highlight this local eatery’s penchant for high quality dishes that capture what you love most about both breakfast and lunch. You’ll also have your choice of a Bloody Mary or mimosa and dine with a full view of Skull Creek. While the name of this waterway is intriguing, it does no justice to the breathtaking beauty that is so typical of the Lowcountry.

Each package includes spacious accommodations in a 2-bedroom villa at Marriott’s Barony Beach Club. Please note: Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend the events described below.
Day 1

Check in at Marriott’s Barony Beach Club at 4 p.m. - Lowcountry Boil at Skull Creek Dockside Waterfront Restaurant
Experience a unique dining tradition originating from coastal South Carolina in a charming old-style river house. Round-trip transportation will be provided.
Day 2
- Daufuskie Island Tour
Embark on a four-hour excursion that includes a scenic boat ride and golf-cart tour of Daufuskie Island. Board the Ohana at Shelter Cove Marina. Delight in an onboard BBQ lunch and spot bottlenose dolphins and other wildlife. Join a naturalist/historian on a guided tour of the island to visit historical sites and local artisans. Gain fascinating insight into the rich history of the island and its enduring culture. Round-trip transportation will be provided.

- Brunch at Benny’s Coastal Kitchen

Cancellation Policy
Prior to arrival:
- Cancellation within 24 hours of booking:
Owners may cancel their Exclusive Owner Event reservation up to 24 hours after booking and receive their ownership points back without penalty. This 24-hour period is applicable to reservation made both outside and inside of 61 days prior to arrive time frame.
- Cancellation up to 61 days prior to arrival:
Owners may cancel their Exclusive Owner Event Reservation up to 61 days prior to arrival and their ownership points will be restored.
- Cancellation 60 days prior to arrival or less:
If an Owner cancels their Exclusive Owner Event reservation 60 days prior to arrival or less, their ownership points will be forfeited.
Upon purchase:
- Residents of Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota and Texas may cancel within 15 business days of package purchase date and their ownership points will be restored. Cancellations must be made in writing within 15 business days of package purchase date. The total retail value of this package is $3,760. Retail value of accommodations is $3,000. The total retail value of incentives is $760. Retail value is based on current average room rates at the time of print, which are subject to change without notice.
